Preamble: Whereas, it is expedient to establish a Nepal Rashtra Bank to function as the Central Bank to maintain the stability of price and balance of payment and stability of the entire financial sector to support the sustainable development of Nepal,

Now, therefore, be it enacted by Parliament in the first year of the reign of His Majesty the King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev.
